Hopefully, this ANSI Gourmet Cheesecake Protein Bars review will shed some light into many of the important factors that go into your head before deciding which protein bar to grab off the shelf. I mean, there are a friggin ton of them to choose from. But how do you decide which one? The thing is that when it comes to the best protein bars it’s important to ask yourself what matters to you most. And be honest with yourself here. This test isn’t going to be graded. What’s more important to you…is it the nutrition of the bar itself. Meaning how much protein does it have, how much fiber, how many calories, is it gluten free, how much sugar. All that good stuff. Is that the most important aspect you look at when you are choosing your ideal protein bar. Or are you going for taste first? Remember…I said be honest. Don’t lie to yourself!
Now wouldn’t it be delightful if you didn’t have to worry about what mattered most because there was actually a protein bar that met all your criteria for nutritional value and it tasted phenomenal?!?
Well, let me introduce you to the ANSI Gourmet Cheesecake Protein Bar!

Now I know what you’re thinking. I thought it too. They went a little overboard with the name, right? At least that’s the first thing that went through my head. It almost made it seem like they were trying to entice me into trying it. I mean..gourmet cheesecake protein bar. Isn’t that what they call an oxymoron? But I have to admit…the name worked. I had to give it a try.
How Does It Really Taste?
Not expecting anything…I took my first bite. I actually recorded it for my ANSI Gourmet Cheesecake Protein Bar Taste Test Review Video. Check it out here.
As you can see I was pleasantly surprised. If I am being honest, taste is the number one factor for me when choosing a protein bar. Hell, I’m not going to lie to you…taste is a huge factor in anything that I try. Whether it’s pre-workout drinks, post-workout drinks, protein shakes, meal replacement shakes…really anything. I can choke something down once, but I’ll be damned if you’re going to get me to force something down on a consistent basis. I remember I was doing a cleanse one time and had to take shots of wheatgrass like 3x a day. It was freaking torture. Of course, I knew the benefits of it, but that didn’t help the awful feeling that I had knowing that I was drinking liquefied weeds!
Anyway…the ANSI Gourmet Cheesecake Protein Bars are nothing like that. So I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. And obviously the fact that the bottom half is coated with dark chocolate doesn’t hurt things in my book. I mean, who doesn’t like things coated in chocolate? It reminded me of the granola bars that are dipped in chocolate I used to have when I was a kid (do they still make those? My daughter would love those!).
The other thing that I am big on when it comes to protein bars is texture. I can’t stand how a lot of protein bars have that texture that feels like you’re gnawing on construction paper or something. I actually had written off protein bars when I was a little bit younger because I couldn’t get past the texture. Good thing I came back and did a few taste tests because there actually are protein bars that don’t give you a jaw workout before you get halfway through the bar. The ANSI Protein Bar is one of them.

Protein Bar Nutrition Facts
So we have established that the ANSI Gourmet Cheesecake Protein Bar tastes great and the texture isn’t going to leave you speechless for the rest of the day because your jaw hurts from chewing. That’s all well and good, but what about the nutrition? Does it actually satisfy your nutritional needs as well? Let’s take a look at the nutritional facts.
The first thing that jumps out at me is the amount of protein. If you’re eating a protein bar, obviously that’s what you’re looking for. The ANSI protein bars have 20 grams of protein, which is pretty much on par with a lot of the top line protein bars available. I was also pretty happy with the amount of fiber in the bars. That’s almost 80% of your daily intake of fiber, so that’s awesome. It only has 4g of sugar, which really surprised me with how good it tasted. I thought they had to be really sweetening it up. Not only because of the chocolate but the actual raspberry taste was very pronounced and really a good flavor. I figured that had to be loaded with sugar so I’m very happy that that’s not the case. I like how the first bullet point states that the protein bar is 100% clean. That is actually pretty important. It used hormone free protein. It’s soy free and gluten free. It’s also non-GMO. So those are all great things to have when it comes to protein bars. It’s more than a lot of other bars on the market, that’s for sure.
So the nutrition facts look great. The bars do have 205 calories but knowing that they are not crappy calories and actually come from a good, clean source alleviates any concern I had with that number. The only other thing that you may be concerned with is if you have allergies. It does contain milk, almonds, and traces of peanuts. So don’t go for this protein bar if you have allergies to any of those. But other than that I honestly see no reason why you shouldn’t make this your go-to protein bar. I’m actually going to order a few more flavors. It comes in Chocolate Truffle, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Raspberry Cheesecake Truffle, Birthday Cake, Chocolate Banana, and Chocolate Coconut. I can’t wait to try all the flavors! Let me know what you think in the comments below! And get a better website price when you order online. Click the link below to order yours today!
